Prinziple
of Seperator Module
The
seperator module (SM) is a part of Oeltechnik 's product
range for diesel engine, running with heavy fuel oil or lube oil
in ships or in power stations. It is used to purify oil and
remove water and solid particles.
Fuel oil is pumped from the settling tank to the separator
module. The fuel is heated up to 98ºC, the required
separating temperature. Once 98ºC is reached, the
supply valve opens and leads the oil to the centrifugal
separator. Depending on the oil quality, the centrifugal
separators are arranged in parallel or in series. The
impeller part inside the separator unit forces the fuel oil
into the service tank and stores it there. Separated
sediments are collected in a suldge tank. An electronic
control system controlled by PLC guarantees an easy and automatic
operation of the module.
